i like to believe that there are guardian angels who protect us and guide us, and so once i asked my guardian angel that if he/she really existed to send me a sign in the form of a feather. and so he/she did…a feather left on the driveway just as i stepped from my back door a day later. you can say that a bird just lost one of its feathers as it flew by, but there have been other feather signs. yesterday morning i found a feather on the backseat floor of my car. how did it get there? there are no birds living in my car, my garage, my house or my mailbox, the only places i happened to be before i drove away in my car.
other people may find god in a church, in the power of money or in the face of their children, but i found god in a feather. so simple, so profound, so comforting…..
What a beautiful story 🙂
I believe we are given signs more often than we realise. However we often fail to recognise them. You were smart enough to specify the form the sign should come in. I’ve never thought to do that but I shall from now on. Thanks!
I look forward to exploring your blog. I have come by due to Miss Demure Restraint.
I always check on my friends’ blogroll. I believed that if I loved theirs, the links mentioned are worth reading too. I’m glad I clicked on the yours through Miss D.
I have to agree with Zen. The above story is simply touching. Finding God in the most unexpected things, places and people, those that we always overlook, is the most wonderful experience because it tells you that He is everywhere, always looking out for you.
I’ll be dropping by often to read more from you.
